Sirince Village - Camlik Village - Locomotive Museum - Gokcealan & Kirazlı Villages

After greeting, we will have 35mins. drive to Sirince Villiage. This pretty old Turkish-Orthodox village, is located on the top of a mountain, where anyone will enjoy the impressive wine yards’ and peach trees’. The village has synthesis of Turk-Greek culture, where we visit mosque and Orthodox church. All the narrow streets of the village belong to the women, selling handcrafts of all kinds, olive oil. Another attraction of Sirince is its wine: try its taste in small cafés. We will have a chance for wine test in the villiage.

We will continue with Camlik Villiage and Locomotive Museum. The museum is located in the center of villiage. There are many examples of locomotives from several countries of manufacture. We will see inside the carriage from which Mustafa Kemal Atatürk had directed operations in the 1930’s. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk is the founder of modern Turkish Republic.

Then, we will proceed to Gokcealan and Kirazlı villiages. In Kirazli Villiage, it is possible to come across every shade of green. Cherries, grapes, olives and figs are important agricultural products and it has a climate and soil where you can grow all kinds of fruits and vegetables you can think of. Natural products such as wild strawberries, blueberries, wild pears, blackberries and cranberries can be collected while walking around the villiage. The ”OSMANCIK” grape which has been used as table grapes for years, has been detected in the world only in Kirazli and neighboring Gokcealan villages. It is known that a very high quality and exotic wine is made from this Osmancik grape. In order to taste these very few produced wines, Kirazli Village should be visited.

On Sundays, certified organic products are selling directly to the consumer from the manufacturer in “Eco Villages Local Products Market”. It is possible to make shopping in this eco-market.
